2018 - ESTEC Triathlon teams excel at Leiden Marathon 2018 event

"Birds fly, fish swim, humans run." - According to late running legend Emil Zátopek, it’s as simple as that. If you enjoy running, too, as well as flying spacecraft, swimming and/or cycling, ESTEC’s Triathlon Club might be just your thing.

At the Leiden Marathon event on 27 May 2018, the ESTEC Triathlon teams finished in first place in both the half marathon and the 10 km race. This followed a team victory and an individual second place at the "Zwemloop" event in Delft on 22 April. This week, the club will also participate in the first edition of the GP Triathlon in Zandvoort with four teams and three individual competitors.

One of the great aspects of these sports is that they can be all practiced at any age, almost anywhere, and with little time needed to get ready: Just put on your running shoes in your lunch break and give it a try.

The ESTEC Triathlon Club has almost 100 members and also facilitates access to local sport facilities such as the Aquamar swimming pool and the Rijnsoever running track in Katwijk.
